Q&A - Weddings at Flore House

We have had a flurry of couples view Flore House for 2025 weddings and there’s so much to think about and so many questions when planning your big day. So, to help you we have compiled a few of our frequently asked questions.

Is the venue licensed for civil ceremonies?

No, we do not have a civil ceremony license. However, you are able to have a blessing here. We also have the village church next door. Quite a few couples choose to get married in the church, our vicar is very accommodating. Couples and their guests can then walk through our own private door from the church grounds into the garden here.

Is the venue exclusive hire?

Yes. You will have exclusive hire for the day of your wedding.

What is the maximum number of guests we are allowed?

You can have up to 175 guests.

Is there enough parking for all our guests?

Yes, there is ample parking at the venue for all your guests. On arrival your guests will be directed to the designated parking area within the grounds.

Can guests leave cars overnight?

Yes absolutely. Cars can be collected the following day from 9 – 10.30am.

What time will the evening reception need to finish?

Alcohol and music finish by 11.30pm and then all guests departed by midnight.

Do you have a list of approved or recommended suppliers?

Yes we do, we have a directory of recommended suppliers that we can supply to you.

Do I have to use your recommended suppliers?

No, you absolutely do not have to use our recommended suppliers. You are free to use the suppliers of your choice.

Are there any stipulations the venue insists on?

We are a very relaxed venue, and you are free to choose all your own suppliers, we just have one stipulation and that is that you employ a wedding planner/ coordinator. This wedding planner/ coordinator must be at the venue for the duration of your wedding day. We as a venue find it works very well to have a point of contact for both couples and ourselves.

We have a directory of recommended wedding planners/ coordinators which is available to all couples.

Is VAT included in the price given?

We do not charge VAT.

Can we have confetti?

Yes absolutely, but please make sure it is biodegradable.

Are we able to have a drone for photography purposes?

Of course, the drone just needs to be kept within the grounds of Flore House.

What is the deposit payment to secure our date?

If your chosen date is more than 12 months in advance, you pay a 25% deposit. If your chosen date is under 12 months away you pay a 50% deposit.

How is the payment schedule structured?

25% deposit payable to secure your date (if more than 12 months in advance)

25% payment at 12 months in advance

50% payment 8 weeks prior to your wedding day

At Flore House we only host a maximum of six weddings per year, meaning we are the most exclusive wedding venue in Northamptonshire, giving our couples and their guests an experience others will never have.
